Born into a wealthy family, 28-year-old Hortense has never wanted for anything. With her job, family and friends, this trained engineer has always lived in the same environment: her own. However, following the Covid-19 pandemic, Hortense is searching for meaning. She changes her life and becomes a nutrition expert at the Bordeaux and Gironde food bank.
In her kitchen truck, she travels around the department to run cooking workshops in partner associations and organizations. The aim is to rebuild social ties through food.
Hortense, a small link in the large food bank chain, is stepping out of her comfort zone to feed off the diversity that surrounds her.
Through her mission, the food bank's virtuous circle is complete: the fight against waste and food insecurity.

After the screening, Valérie Bolze, President of the Bordeaux and Gironde Food Bank, and Sandie Fabre, director and audiovisual archivist at Mémoire de Bordeaux Métropole will answer your questions.
