Global SSE Forum
Bordeaux GSEF 2025
For this edition, the organizers wanted to go beyond a forum dedicated to all the players in the SSE ecosystem and invite the general public to discover this ‘Economy that wants us well’ in a fun, friendly and accessible way.
This is a wonderful way to demonstrate, together with those who bring the SSE to life locally, that another world already exists, responding to the aspirations and expectations of the region's inhabitants. More relevant than ever!

A committed marketplace
Around thirty organizations will be present to show the general public local alternatives to our modes of production and consumption in the food, craft, culture and reuse sectors, promoting short supply chains. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase the products on offer at the stands.

Sustainable food
Adapei Pyrénées-Atlantiques (Association Départementale des Parents et Amis de Personnes Handicapées Mentales des Pyrénées-Atlantiques)
Association founded in 1962 to meet the needs of families with intellectually disabled children and to create facilities adapted to the care of people with disabilities.
At this stand: local products that embody their values of quality, commitment and solidarity – duck foie gras from south-western France, pâtés, preserves, herbal teas, honey, chocolates, artisan jams and gourmet gift boxes.
AFDI Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Agriculteurs Français et Développement International)
Association supporting family farmers in their desire to earn a decent living from their work and ensure the sustainability of farms and farmers' organisations.
At this stand: juices, wines, peanut oil, cashews, solidarity wine, spices from Madagascar...
Boulangerie coopérative d’Uzeste
A group of citizens from Uzeste and the surrounding area who have created a SCIC (cooperative society of collective interest) to remedy the lack of bread in the village and to work together to recreate this activity, which is useful to everyone. The idea is to revive this activity, centred around a place that encourages people to meet, socialise, engage in short supply chain trade and make new discoveries.
At this stand: natural sourdough breads, flour made from locally grown organic wheat, pastries, cakes, vegan cakes, various breads, fougasses...
Cidrerie HIC
Cider producer making organic cider products in Sadirac, in the Entre-Deux-Mers region, with a local and anti-waste approach.
At this stand: ciders, apple juice, cider vinegar, apple jelly, apple flour...
Conserverie mobile et solidaire de Mérignac
Canning factory fighting food waste and promoting healthy, sustainable food that supports solidarity.
At this stand: dry goods and savoury and sweet preserves made from local produce and based on a zero-waste approach – soups, sauces, purées, compotes and jams.
ESAT Les Eyquems IRSA – Les Paniers d’API
In their workshop in Mérignac, the ESAT Les Eyquems team works hard every week to make Paniers d'Api baskets, promoting the region's agricultural and artisanal expertise and offering the inhabitants of the Bordeaux metropolitan area organic, fresh, high-quality products grown in Aquitaine at affordable prices!
At this stand: baskets of organic and local fruit and vegetables.
Gobilab
Creation of reusable water bottles, lunchboxes, cups and cutlery, eco-designed and manufactured in France. Practical, customizable and durable, they replace disposable items in everyday life, at home, in the office or when out and about.

La Coopérative Agricole Nouvelle-Aquitaine
The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region is Europe's leading agricultural region, with a wide variety of products (agri-food, arable farming, viticulture, meat, fruit and vegetables, milk, forestry, tobacco), in which Coopération Agricole is the leading regional player with 40% of turnover.

Les Jardins Inspirés
School garden and seed conservatory (vegetables and seeds from organic, biodynamic and co-created with nature).
At this stand: farmers' vegetable seeds, biodynamic calendar 2026, flavored salts and chillies.
Supercoop
A cooperative and participatory shop created by motivated consumers. Après deux années passées dans des locaux gracieusement prêtés par la mairie de Bègles, Supercoop est, depuis mai 2018, installé dans son propre magasin au 19 rue Oscar et Jean Auriac à Bordeaux.
At this stand: products from small local producers, organic products and products from the National Association of Organic Grocers (ANED, élibio brand).
Terra Etica | Café Michel
Roasting workshop (SCOP, cooperative and participatory company) creating short and transparent supply chains from producers to consumers in organic shops, where everyone is taken into account.
At this stand: 100% organic and 100% fair trade coffees, teas and hot chocolates sourced from small-scale agroforestry farms.
Terre de Liens Aquitaine – Domaine des 4 Vents
Since 2010, Terre de Liens Aquitaine has been supporting farmers in their projects. Domaine des 4 Vents is a Terre de Liens farm where a young couple of winegrowers settled in 2022 and converted the plots to organic farming.
At this stand: organic and natural wine from Domaine des 4 Vents by the bottle or by the case.
VRAC (Vers un Réseau d’Achat en Commun) Bordeaux Métropole
Association promoting the development of purchasing groups in priority neighbourhoods under the Bordeaux Metropolitan Area urban policy.
At this stand: high-quality food products, sourced from organic, local and short supply chain farms – honey, apple juice, prunes, pulses, salt, etc.
Craftsmanship and creation
AfreakA
A structure that demonstrates, through its Justesse brand, that fashion can create social and ecological added value. The collections serve as a lever for development projects in Senegal and educational workshops in France, linking popular education to craftsmanship.
At this stand: ethical and fair trade fashion products.
EDÉA
Association supporting people since 1926 in developing their projects promoting social inclusion. Creations from EDÉA workshops, made by people with disabilities.
At this stand: pottery (bowls, vases, jewellery, etc.), chocolate (milk and dark chocolate bars, assortments, etc.), sewing (washable cotton pads, kits, etc.).
Jean Fourche
The city bike for everyone, even you. Their bikes are designed in Bordeaux and manufactured in Portugal with sustainability and responsibility in mind.
At this stand: their compact cargo bikes, which are locally manufactured and reasonably priced.
L’Armoire Poéthique
Ethical brand boutique and space where you can learn more about the challenges facing the textile industry. The boutique brings together more than fifteen European brands to offer you a range of products from head to toe for everyone!
At this stand: A selection of ethical and eco-friendly clothing items (organic cotton T-shirts made in Portugal and screen-printed in the Basque Country) and accessories (jewellery, bags, small leather goods) made in Nouvelle-Aquitaine from upcycled materials.
L’Atelier boutique Chauvigny (salaried entrepreneur of the Coopérative d’Activités et d’Emploi ACEASCOP FORMASCOPE)
Workshop and shop specializing in clothing manufacture and framing, based in Chauvigny. Other artists and craftspeople also exhibit their creations here.
At this stand: flowers made from cardboard, displayed in pallet cubes, vases, old frames and frames made from moulding scraps left over from the manufacture of bespoke frames.
La Balmo Tufting (salaried entrepreneur at the Coopérative territoriale d’Activités et d’Emploi SCIC Pau-Pyrénées)
Invite le Tufting dans ta déco ! Original, handmade and customizable wool tufted decorations, based in Oloron Sainte Marie..
At this stand: colourful tufting (rugs, pictures, wool decorations) and upcycled textile creations (leather goods, glasses cases, unique jackets).
La Planche
Located in a former coachbuilder's workshop in the heart of Bordeaux's Saint-Michel district, La Planche is a shared woodworking workshop that opened in April 2019. This third place for the social and solidarity economy brings together enthusiasts, DIYers and craftspeople around a common goal: working with wood, sharing skills and pooling tools.
At this stand: pala, Basque pelota racket, wooden bowls, kitchen utensils, vase, lamp, games, candle holders, gift vouchers.
Métiers à Tisser
A sewing workshop that helps people get back into work by offering them support to find long-term employment. Beyond its mission to help people get back into work, Métiers à Tisser wanted to make environmental responsibility a key part of what it does (almost all of its products are made from reused textiles).
At this stand: t-shirts, bum bags, tote bags, pouches, badges, key rings.
Nova
Operating in France and Benin, the NGO Nova works to promote openness to the world and to others.
At this stand: intercultural and eco-friendly clothing made by the Abrikè craftswomen's cooperative in Bénoon (Abikè collection) and unique pieces created from repurposed textiles, for sustainable and socially responsible fashion (Refashion).
Princ’ESS
A committed association that promotes access to wellbeing for all, relying on two powerful levers: professional integration and socio-aesthetics.
At this stand: responsible face and body care products offered by Blancrème in reusable glass packaging, zero waste, short supply chains, cruelty-free, 100% French and environmentally friendly – cleansers, bamboo scrubs, creams, oils and shower gels.
PROX Solution Multitravaux
Organization offering furniture made from recycled pallet wood for sale to both private individuals and professionals.
At this stand: a presentation of furniture made from recycled pallet wood (urban, bespoke, small furniture, decoration), a raffle ticket sale and a presentation of the pallet reuse cycle.
Récup’R
Association whose main goal is to reduce waste and the wasteful consumption of goods, as well as to raise public awareness of the impact of our consumption patterns. The association runs a recycling centre in Bordeaux Métropole and organises the collection of reusable items and materials, recycling workshops, sales areas and environmental awareness campaigns.
At this stand: handbags, pouches and other accessories made from fabric scraps or used bicycle inner tubes.
Régénération – The Beach Attitude
An association offering a creative and innovative approach to drawing attention to the overconsumption of plastics. It is an eco-conscious artistic movement that has chosen to create, communicate and manufacture through innovation in plastics recycling.
At this stand: furniture (chairs, tables, stools), jewellery and accessories (brooches, necklaces, bracelets, pendants), artworks and photographs.
Re-Plantes
An organization offering second-hand plants and flowers at affordable prices, bringing the benefits of greenery to everyone. The first plant, flower and petal recycling centre in Bordeaux.
At this stand: a sale of plants and flowers.
Tisséna
French upcycled textile products that promote social inclusion! Through textile upcycling, Tissena gives unused textiles a second life by transforming advertising banners, used workwear and fabric scraps into customized products such as bags, eco-friendly goodies and reusable wipes.
At this stand: upcycled bags and accessories made from tarpaulins, kakemonos and discarded workwear (shopping bags, tote bags, pencil cases, cooler bags, shoelaces).
Culture
Association CLAC (Club Loisir Aquitaine Culture)
Association working to promote discovery of our local environment and culture. It runs arts education and nature awareness initiatives, offering workshops, courses and walks.
At this stand: products made by artists (paintings on recycled paper and vegetable-based paint, decorated seed cards, seed bombs in the form of small clay sculptures).
La Fabrique Pola
Created by and for local artistic communities, La Fabrique Pola is a shared resource. It is both a major cultural facility dedicated to the public and a space devoted to the professional structuring of the visual arts sector, based on the values of the social and solidarity economy.
At this stand: printing arts, micro-publishing, ceramics, etc.
Oriú
A cooperative bringing together around a hundred artists and craftspeople in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, to develop artistic, cultural or creative activities, with dedicated support.
At this stand: the creations of Oriú members (illustration, photography, ceramics, saddlery, leather goods, publishing, machine knitting).
Secours populaire français – Fédération de la Gironde
An independent, decentralized grassroots organisation operating where its volunteers and partners live, work and study, working closely with people in need.
At this stand: solidarity Advent calendar, Solidarity ABC book, Cathy and Adam book, 80th anniversary tote bag.
Second-hand and reuse
Art Haute Lande
Workshop and integration project through sewing. Association aimed at individuals, communities and professionals, whether for the creation, manufacture or repair of all textiles..
At this stand: second-hand clothing and textile creations made by women in integration or reintegration programmes.
Croix-Rouge Insertion
Establishments each specializing in specific areas of employment, such as sustainable food, the circular economy and the sale of second-hand goods, organic market gardening, maintenance of natural green spaces, logistics, etc.
At this stand: upcycled goods (furniture and accessories) and fresh, organic, and local food and grocery products, made by people in employment integration programmes.
IKOS
An organization actively committed to transforming consumption practices by developing local, solidarity-based reuse networks, while promoting social inclusion and offering accessible and responsible consumption alternatives.
At this stand: their products.
ReNAITRE (Réseau Nouvelle-Aquitaine des Initiatives Territoriales du Réemploi)
A network bringing together nearly 130 charitable reuse organizations, resource centres and recycling centres in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, supporting its members and all project leaders working to reduce waste through prevention, reuse, recycling and awareness-raising initiatives.

Renée
Association and adapted company working to limit the impact of small electrical and electronic equipment by promoting reuse and repair..
At this stand: small second-hand electrical and electronic equipment – small household appliances, hi-fi, image, multimedia and telephony.

Introduction to free web mapping: discover common digital tools and experiment with OpenStreetMap mapping. Participants will be able to contribute to an existing map. Ideally, bring a computer or other IT device with internet access.
Introduction to podcasting: creation of a collective and participatory podcast related to the Social and Solidarity Economy and its challenges. Introduction to interviewing and sound recording, this is an opportunity to try out professional tools.
Introduction to creating a collective fanzine: collecting visuals or text to create a collective paper object, the fanzine. It is also an opportunity to have fun writing, cutting, taking photos, drawing, composing and creating collectively.
From fibre to Wardrobe – Meet at 4pm (duration: 1:30 h)

The mental health of young people in Brittany, everyone's business by Mutualité Française Bretagne
In 2023, the CESER (Regional Economic, Social and Environmental Council) of Brittany adopted a report entitled ‘It takes a whole region to promote the well-being of young people in Brittany – Promoting mental health with them’. Young professional artists and students illustrated this in an exhibition.

Through a sensitive immersion into the life of Claude Alphandéry, this film traces the unique journey of a man guided by his convictions: from the Resistance to the Social and Solidarity Economy, via the benches of a bank and the ranks of the Communist Party. Through personal accounts, archive footage and testimonies from friends and family and figures from the SSE, it reveals a journey in which apparent contradictions find coherence in commitment. The documentary also explores how this flame has been passed on to new generations, at the heart of contemporary struggles. Claude Alphandéry appears as a bearer of hope in a world in search of meaning and solidarity. A vibrant and universal call to action.

This documentary recounts the adventure of the young people from the Saint-Michel community centre during their project at the Mechti residence. Much more than just a collective project, it becomes a space for discussion about the social and solidarity economy: what does the SSE mean to them? What place should solidarity have? What values do they uphold through their commitment? Through the words of young people, testimonials from supervisors and the voices of residents, a sincere and lively picture emerges of the impact of their commitment, the causes that drive them and the way in which the SSE is transforming their daily lives and their vision of the future.

This documentary presents two third places in Belgium and France, both committed to issues of citizen participation – whether in terms of resident involvement, governance, training, etc. This video was produced by the European platform EPALE, in conjunction with multiple resources on third places throughout Europe.
After the screening, a debate will explore how these hybrid spaces, whether urban or rural, encourage citizen involvement, redefine social ties and contribute to a new way of inhabiting the world. In the presence of Belgian and French stakeholders, we will examine the specificities, complementarities and challenges of third places in cities and the countryside.
Speakers in the debate following the screening: Pierre-Alexandre Klein, Founder of the Trois-Tiers association and Cécile Gauthier, Postdoctoral researcher in geography and specialist in participatory third places.

In a primary school in a suburb of Paris known for being difficult, where teaching staff burn out and come and go year after year, five young, inexperienced teachers have taken on the challenge of staying. Five years on, they talk to us about their daily lives in this place where, amid alternating feelings of discouragement and optimism, they are trying to build a school like any other.
How are education workers around the world really doing? I-BEST, the International Barometer of Education Workers' Health and Well-being reveals the reality on the ground. This unique international survey, conducted by MGEN and Education International, gives a voice to education professionals around the world. Beyond the figures, I-BEST offers unprecedented insight into the universal challenges facing the education sector and is a powerful advocacy tool for improving the working conditions and well-being of those who educate our societies.

In August 2024, Récits Proches visited the CJS (Youth Service Cooperatives) in Pissos (Les Go’mettes) and Rion-des-Landes (O’riego), set up by the PLOUCS Association and the Co-Actions Cooperative in the Landes region. Youth Service Cooperatives are popular education projects promoting collective entrepreneurship.
This documentary highlights this social and solidarity project in rural areas. During the summer, young people aged 15 to 18 collectively create and run a non-competitive business, in order to get a foothold in the business world and perhaps redefine the world of tomorrow.
This is an opportunity for them to capture moments in life, to grasp what moves and excites the younger generations, and to give them a voice to express their views and ideals for the future: a future that may be more empathetic, ethical, and responsible.

Anti-environmental backlash: how are the media responding? – Wednesday 29 October from 7pm to 8pm
The theme of anti-ecological backlash is becoming increasingly prominent among editorialists. Carbon taxes, low-emission zones, wind turbines, agricultural standards, etc.: the ecological transition seems to have become unpopular as measures are implemented. But is this really the case? On the one hand, we see that the ecological issue is increasingly divided along social lines, and on the other, that a gap is widening between citizens' demand for ecological transition and a political response that is increasingly hostile to it. As capital seeks to control the public sphere and dictate the agenda, how are independent media outlets resisting?

Nurseries, retirement homes, care facilities: more and more structures that are essential to the cohesion of our societies are managed by private, for-profit operators, some of whose abuses have been denounced in recent years. Can we continue to entrust the care of the most vulnerable to profit-driven models? What risks does this pose to the quality of care, equal access, and the very meaning of care?
In the face of this growing commodification, the social and solidarity economy offers another path, based on non-profit-making, the pursuit of the common good and cooperation. How can public authorities rely more on these actors? Are they above criticism? And under what conditions can they fulfil their mission properly?

The refreshment bar and Bodéga area
A refreshment bar will offer fresh juices produced and sold every day from 4pm to 8pm. It will be run by young people from Flashcoop set up by the Coop Alpha Activity and Employment Cooperative and the Entr-Autres Association. This friendly space will allow Forum visitors to refresh themselves while supporting an initiative driven by collective energy.
Flashcoop is much more than just a refreshment bar: it is a cooperative entrepreneurship project run by young people aged 17 to 25. For two weeks, they will create and manage their own business, from designing the offering to marketing it. This experience is an immersion in the Social and Solidarity Economy, where learning takes place through action and teamwork.
A Bodega space will also be open every day from 5.30pm to 10pm (until 11pm on Thursdays) for snacks and drinks, offering a different way of doing business!

Between wind instruments, beatboxing and vocals, this multi-instrumentalist fuses hip-hop and jazz, infusing his melodies with the colors of the world.
