Le COD des Coquelicots, suivi d’une présentation du baromètre de la santé des enseignant·es From 4 pm to 5 pm

Directed by Cécile Rousset and Jeanne Paturle and produced by Les Films d’Ici / Valérianne Boué

Contributing organizations: CEMEA and MGEN

In a primary school in a suburb of Paris known for being difficult, where teaching staff burn out and come and go year after year, five young, inexperienced teachers have taken on the challenge of staying. Five years on, they talk to us about their daily lives in this place where, amid alternating feelings of discouragement and optimism, they are trying to build a school like any other.

How are education workers around the world really doing? I-BEST, the International Barometer of Education Workers' Health and Well-being reveals the reality on the ground. This unique international survey, conducted by MGEN and Education International, gives a voice to education professionals around the world. Beyond the figures, I-BEST offers unprecedented insight into the universal challenges facing the education sector and is a powerful advocacy tool for improving the working conditions and well-being of those who educate our societies.

With: Hawa Fatty, Project Manager at MGEN.

TAGHYIR, for a regenerative economy, followed by a discussion From 5 pm to 6:15 pm

Directed by the GRIGRI Association (Hadriana Casla) and produced by the Association Assembly for Peace Cooperation (Asociación Asamblea de Cooperación Por la Paz – ACPP)

Contributing organizations: SHANTI Association and Tunisian General Labour Union (Tunisia), Association Union de l'Action Féminine, ASTICUDE and Homme et Environnement (Morocco)

This documentary is a collective work, born from the living lands of Tunisia and Morocco. It carries the voices and perspectives of women, young people, cooperativists, activists and all those who dream and work for a more just and sustainable future. Through their personal stories and shared struggles, they reveal what it means, from the inside, to build another possible economy: an economy of solidarity, dignity and hope, woven together by the strength of the territories and the momentum of change.

The six partners will speak after the screening.

CJS: a summer like no other From 6:20 pm to 7 pm

Directed by Florian Cabeças and Guillaume Deytieux and produced by the Association Récits Proches (licensed under CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)

Contributing organizations: Association PLOUCS

In August 2024, Récits Proches visited the CJS (Youth Service Cooperatives) in Pissos (Les Go’mettes) and Rion-des-Landes (O’riego), set up by the PLOUCS Association and the Co-Actions Cooperative in the Landes region. Youth Service Cooperatives are popular education projects promoting collective entrepreneurship.
This documentary highlights this social and solidarity project in rural areas. During the summer, young people aged 15 to 18 collectively create and run a non-competitive business, in order to get a foothold in the business world and perhaps redefine the world of tomorrow.
This is an opportunity for them to capture moments in life, to grasp what moves and excites the younger generations, and to give them a voice to express their views and ideals for the future: a future that may be more empathetic, ethical, and responsible.

An innovative legal formula, designed for our times and focused on the future. At the heart of this model are Work Shares, a tool created in 1917 but surprisingly modern. They recognize the ongoing investment of workers and, within the framework of Sapo (Worker-owned public limited company), offer a concrete response to legal obligations to share value. Sapo companies prove that history, fairness and innovation can be combined to rethink today's businesses.
Through the speech by Roger Daviau, Promoter of Labour Actions and author of the book ‘Democracy at Work, SAPO, Limited Company with Employee Ownership’, discover the actions of SAPO and the actors of the SSE.

Anti-environmental backlash: how are the media responding? – Wednesday 29 October from 7pm to 8pm

The theme of anti-ecological backlash is becoming increasingly prominent among editorialists. Carbon taxes, low-emission zones, wind turbines, agricultural standards, etc.: the ecological transition seems to have become unpopular as measures are implemented. But is this really the case? On the one hand, we see that the ecological issue is increasingly divided along social lines, and on the other, that a gap is widening between citizens' demand for ecological transition and a political response that is increasingly hostile to it. As capital seeks to control the public sphere and dictate the agenda, how are independent media outlets resisting?

Will SSE enterprises and conventional enterprises be able to build a desirable future together? – From 6pm to 7pm

It must be said that SSE and conventional enterprises rarely interact with each other. Is this due to a lack of knowledge or prejudice? Yet don't the challenges we face compel us to join forces? Will cooperation develop to meet the challenges that lie ahead? How? Where are the obstacles and the possible levers? Can the future we desire for ourselves today and for future generations be the catalyst for dialogue and action, and can local areas be fertile ground for new modes of development?

SSE: an inspiring example for new development models? – From 6pm to 7pm

At a time when crises and pandemics threaten, the search for new development models is becoming a major concern; the time has come for a paradigm shift. In this quest, how can the Social and Solidarity Economy inspire us? Its territorial roots, the values it upholds, its governance model... these are all topics worth considering. But are we ready to change? Are we determined to do things differently, and under what conditions? A new path to sustainable and equitable development is possible, but it will undoubtedly require a change in the way we think about the economy and business.

The alternative economy – From 6pm to 7pm

In partnership with Invest in Bordeaux

Why don’t the SSE and the conventional economy cooperate more often? The aim of dialogue is to break down prejudices, highlighting both real and perceived differences and similarities, but also to identify areas of common ground. It is possible and necessary to ‘build common ground’ through cooperation, finding common ground in the territorial responsibility of businesses, whether they are part of the SSE or the conventional economy.
